For applications that do not require anti-backlash control, the "A" series high strength free wheeling nut optimizes system load carrying capability in a compact size. The "A" style nut is only available with a mounting flange as a standard part.  Please contact Haydon for details if a custom high strength freewheeling nut is required.

Haydon's high strength A style nuts are made from a glass fiber reinforced polyester that has the following characteristics:

• High load carrying capability
• Very high mechanical strength
• Excellent abrasion resistance
• Excellent impact resistance
• Long life when grease lubricated
• Excellent chemical compatibility
• Extended Operating Temperature Range: -20°C to 130°C (-4°F to 266°F)

The high strength material should not be used on a dry, uncoated screw.  For longest life, grease lubricatio is preferred to Haydon's Black Ice™ coating for use with A style nuts.
